Australian police have arrested a man in connection with a large graffiti artwork known as “Pam the Bird” that was spray-painted on one of the towers of Melbourne’s Bolte Bridge. The artwork, painted high above the ground, quickly attracted widespread attention on social media because of its enormous size and unusual design.

Authorities allege the suspect illegally accessed the bridge structure before creating the graffiti. Officials said the incident posed significant safety risks and caused damage to public infrastructure. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the case and whether additional people were involved.

The artwork sparked mixed reactions among the public. Some described it as an impressive display of urban art, while others argued that defacing public property is unacceptable regardless of artistic value. Government officials have reaffirmed that vandalism on public infrastructure will not be tolerated and warned that offenders may face serious legal consequences.
